In a winery a lot of things happen and of course we like to share our experiences with you. About once or twice a month we write up what happend and what we think is interesting and noteworthy about our work and our wines. The first bottles with our new label New Labels - 2010-8-28, 9:22 am

It took a long time, more than a year exactly to create our all new wine labels. Here you have a picture of the first bottles using them directly from the labelling line. There will be more and better information as well as nice photos soon but afther such a long thime we just had to post one quickly. And it should do for a first impression!

Red wine grapes start to change colour Summertime - 2010-8-9, 11:18 am

It's August and the only reason why you didn't hear from us for some time now ist that summertime is always extremely busy and we have lots of work to do in our vinyards. Especially in June and July we spend most of the time out in the vinyards and when there is some left we have to bottle the first red wines of the last vintage. But that's done and a great 2010 vintage is already foreseeable! more...

News and new vintages - 2010-4-14, 10:59 am

The time where we can visit lots of exhibitions is over, now the work in the vinyards begins. This week we want to replant some Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot where we have cleared old Sauvignon Blanc and Blaufränkisch vines. But currently it has been raining for the last two days and so we have time to spend on updating our website. You can find information about the new vintages of some of our white, red and dessert wines now - enjoy! And when the weather gets better again, we will treat you with some pictures from planting the new vines!

Viini Expo Helsinki - 2010-3-16, 5:26 pm

Thursday this week the 2010 Viini Expo in Helsinki will open its doors. Together with colleagues from other wineries we will present our fine Austrian wines at the booth of the Austrian Trade Comission. Be there to taste and enjoy our wines, you are warmly invited!

What does PIWI mean? PIWI is an abbreviation for the german word "pilzwiederstandsfähig" which translates into robust against fungal threats. There is a big interest in such grape cultivars mainly in organic winegrowing but also in conventional farming the attention is growing. more...

Zweigelt Rebe 1985 Sorting through the vinotheque, tasting old wines - 2010-1-28, 6:18 pm

In winter when it is really cold, just like now, a wineries cellar is quite a comfy workplace. We took the opportunity to sort through and organise our vinotheque where we store bottles of the best wines from past years and decades.
