Christmas has arrived and the year's end draws nearer and nearer. Now is the time of the year where
we can spend the most quiet and relaxing days. Following the busy Advent season work is now resting
for some time and we concentrate more on the pleasurable sides of life like, but not only, enjoying
some great wines and food. We, the Schreiner's wish you and your loved ones a very good time as
well, enjoy the holiday season and have a great start into the new year 2009.

Junger
Riesling 2008 -

The first wine of the new vintage has arrived! We just bottled our Junger Riesling 2008, the fruity
and fresh young wine that many people are already waiting for just like in past years. This year's
Junger Riesling is very fruity, has a palatable acidity and as always a charmingly light sweetness.
The wine is immediately available and we hope that you will enjoy a glass or two of it soon.

It is done, we have finished the harvest for the vintage 2008. All grapes are now brought into our
cellar and we can relieve stress and breathe again for the first time in a couple of weeks. In the
cellar the must is now fermenting and slowly transforming into wine and in only a few weeks time we
will bottle our Junger Riesling, the first wine of the 2008 vintage. But before that we celebrate.

Wine Harvest

The wine harvest has again started early this year. Last week we brought in the first grapes of the
2008 vintage which we will use for our Junger Riesling. Now the harvest is in full swing and we can
start to appraise how the vintage will turn out.

Dornbirn
Autumn Fair 2008 -

It's time again for this year's Dornbirn Autumn Fair. Just like every year we are of course
participating and presenting fine wines from our winery. We would be happy to welcome you at the
fair for an enjoyable tasting. You can find us at our usual place in hall 10, booth number 1.

The wine year 2008

This year's growing season is quite advanced and in only a little while the harvest will start.
Therefore we can now already take a look back onto this years wine season. What makes this
especially interesting is that we worked accoring to the regulations for organic farming for the
first full year now.

Midsummer -

Wondering why you didn't hear too much from us in the last weeks? Well it is summer and summer is
always a very busy time for us looking after the vinyards and the development of last years wines as
well as this years grapes. We had a nice spring and early summer this year and the grapes are
developing very well. It was and still is very hot and dry but we also had enough rain to prevent
draught which caused some problems in the last years. So, we are already looking forward to a great
harvest, let's hope for the best and that nothing unexpected happens in the upcoming months.

VieVinum 2008 -

Last weekend Austria's biggest wine festival, the VieVinum was held at the Hofburg in Vienna and
wine enthusiasts from all over the world took the chance to taste from thousands of wines that where
presented there. Of course we were also taking part, showing our best new and old products and
meeting lots of interesting people from the multifarious wine world.

Work to do in

May is an eventful time in any winery. The vines have already developed their first shoots and they
now grow for several centimeters a day when the weather suits them. For us the time of intensive
work in and with our vinyards begins and we spend a lot of time outdoors.

Dornbirn
Spring Fair and thereafter. -

The Dornbirn Spring Fair is now over and we are glad to have met many of our customers for an
interesting wine tasting. We hope you enjoyed the stay at our booth and our wines met your
expectations. Especially the freshly bottled 2007 whites invite to be tasted for the first time and
present themselves in their best shape at the moment.

Wine fairs in

We did not post any news for a little while now but that was just because we are on the road a lot
currently and of course always busy. For you this is good news tough since there are several
possibilities where you can meet us to taste our wines. The Innsbruck spring Fair and the Viini Expo
in Helsinki will start tomorrow and the Dornbirn Spring Fair is only a few weeks away. Take the
chance and come by, we would be happy to meet you.

Hamburg Wine
Fair 2008 -

We just came back from Hamburg where we spent the last weekend on the Hamburg wine fair and we
really enjoyed our first visit to the city. The magnificent old halls of the Altonaer fish market
provieded an exceptional flair for a dignified wine tasting and we had a great time there together
with our colleagues from some other Austrian wineries.

New Year, Lots of

The new year is two weeks old already and all kinds of things have happened. The years first event,
the Berlin Wine Fair in the Schöneberg town hall is over and we thank everyone who visited us
to taste our wines. There will be more events where you can learn about our wines in the upcoming
months. Take the chance if we are in an area close to you. Come by, taste them and convince yourself
about their qualities.
