A bottle of Pinot Blanc Barrique.

Pinot Blanc Barrique 2011

The Pinot Blanc is an old, traditional white wine variety and well known in almost every nameable wine growing region on earth. Everywhere the Pinot Blanc is much renowned and developed in many variations. Wines like our Pinot Blanc Barrique occupy a special position here. Fermentation and aging in new small oak barrels lead to a wine with a distinctive international character which stands out from the crowd of typical Austrian white wines. This wine does not suit everybody but is much valued by people who fancy this special style.

Tasting notes: Our Pinot Blanc 2011 Barrique shows its well rounded but strong character. Full flavours, slight smoky tones and exceptional fullness form a wine suited for strong and spicy meals. It is also perfect as an apteritif or when an alternative to red wine is sought after for some foods.

Drinking suggestions: This wine already gives a lot of drinking pleasure and is very good to drink. Moreover its concentratet constituents guarantee drinking pleasure for years to come. Serve at 8-10° C (47-50 F).
