The Gewürz Traminer is one of the oldest grape varieties. It is common
in almost every important European wine producing country and also in other
countries all over the world. The Traminer has high demands on the soil and
its growing location. It prefers warm, deep, fertile soils and south facing
sites which are not prone to deep winter-frost. The yield is low, the grapes
are very small and ripen in mid October. Because of the mild climate
conditions in the Seewinkel region we are able to use the Traminers grapes
for the production of very high quality dessert wines.
