Wines of the vintage 2008. A year with plenty of sun, heat-records but still enough rain describes the vintage quite well. A warm spring and summer with temperature almost reaching 40° C lead to an early grape development. Only due to the slightly cooler August we did not have to start harvesting before the second week of September. Instead it brought us grapes that were not only ripe and seet but still had a lot of their juicy acidity when harvested. 2007 was a great year for whites and reds alike. The first were fruity, refreshing while offering good strength, the latter developed with lots of fruity, full body and soon became very enjoyable to the taste.
