About once or twice a month we write up what happend and what we think is interesting and noteworthy about our work and our wines. Triple Finish - 2007-9-29, 1:13 pm

A lot of things are currently happening at our winery and we were able to finish three important things just recently. Early this week we copmleted this years harvest by picking the last Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Our Junger Riesling 2006 is completely sold out out and we bottled its 2007 vintage as a replacement. more...

- Continuing the harvest - 2007-9-10, 12:04 am

After a few days break last week we were able to continue with the harvest. We picked Riesling and most notably Zweigelt, the latter is now even finished for this year. Since we had to take another rain-caused break this week we are of course very happy about this as well as about the quality of this years Zweigelt grapes. This week we will harvest Blaufränkisch and Merlot which leaves only Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Blanc behind. Both are scheduled for a later date, especially the Pinot Blanc which we plan to harvest as a Spätlese or "Late Harvest" wine. more...
