The Pinot Blanc is an old, traditional white wine variety and well known in almost every nameable wine growing region on earth. Everywhere the Pinot Blanc is much renowned and developed in many variations. Wines like our Pinot Blanc Late Harvest Barrique occupy a special position here. Fermentation and aging in new small oak barrels lead to a wine with a distinctive international character that stands out from the crowd of typical Austrian white wines. This wine does not suit everybody but is much valued by people who fancy this special style.


Tasting Notes:

Our Pinot Blanc Late Harvest 2003 Barrique is bone-dry and notably strong. Its character is stamped by ripe flavours, slightly smoky tones and exceptional fullness.

This is a wine for strong and spicy meal but can also serve as an aperitif or as an alternative for red wine.
