The detailed results of the awc vienna 2009 - international wine challenge have arrived. Our wines scored
one gold and eight silver medals and of course we are proud of that!
The
awc vienna 2009 international wine challenge has in it's
sixth year become the world's largest and most comprehensive internationally recognized wine valuation. With
9164 wines submitted by 1514 producers from all over the world only superlatives can fittingly describe this
event and living in a tiny yet excellent wine country we Austrians can be quite proud to have this event
hosted in Vienna every year. What makes the
awc vienna special it the completely anonymous tasting
scheme where 300 independet and professionally trained specialists rate the wines according to the
international 100 points scale. This enables a fair judgement with similar chances for all wines, independet
of the fame of their respective producers. Our wines performed quite well in this environment and we were
able to collect one gold and eight silver medals. Thanks to this our winery has been awarded with one star
by the
awc vienna 2009.
For us as a winery it is always important to compare our wines
with others to see how well they perform. An event like the
awc vienna 2009 is of course ideal for
that because thousands of wines from all over the world present a really comprehensive competition. Beeing
successful in this environment makes us pround and gives us the incentive to become even better next year!
