The Trockenbeerenauslese is the peak of the Austrian wine quality-pyramid and is almost exclusively made out of grapes which have shrivelled and dryed out due to the affection of noble rot. The fermentation of that sugar-rich musts can last for several months and its the the winemakers art to reach the highest levels of balance between the different aroma-components. Sugar and Alcohol should also be well balanced. In Autria Prädikatsweine are commonly fashioned in a reductive style, which means that air/oxygen influence is supressed as good as possible during ageing oft the wine for maximum possible fresh- and fruityness.

This very sweet wine with its spicy aroma and fullness is a typical Sämling 88 with an high but elegant acidity.
