Those following us on Twitter and/or Facebook will know it already, for all others it's news - the
harvest 2011 is finished!
At least for us and most of the other wineries in Gols this is the case. We enjoyed a very early and ripe
harvest with nice weather and great grapes. Even fermentation of the white and most of the red wines is done
by now and there are already many young albeit unfinished wines to taste in our cellar.
The
whites are settling the yeast and starting to clear now, the reds still undergo malolactic fermentation
which will take a few more weeks before it's done. Nevertheless we can already give a good prediction of how
the 2011 vintage will turn out and it's a very positive one. Expect a lot!
By the way, the first
wines for the "young-wine-season" are bottled already and will be available more or less immediately. But
more on that in our next update that will follow very soon this time!
